Add social links

Social links put small icons in the footer of every page. Each icon opens your church’s own page on that network. You set them once, in Church info.

1. In the panel on the left, under Your website, click Church info.
2. Scroll to Social links (shown in the footer).
3. To add a link, click + Add a social link.
4. In the new row, choose the network: Facebook, Instagram, YouTube or X.
5. In the box beside it, paste the address of your church’s own page. For example, https://www.facebook.com/yourchurch.
6. To change the order, use the up and down arrow buttons at the start of each row. On a computer, you can also drag the ⋮⋮ handle.
7. To take a link off, click the × at the end of its row.
8. Click Save.
9. Click Publish to put the icons on your live site.

The template starts with three sample links: Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. They go to the networks’ home pages, not to your church. Change each one to your church’s own page, or remove it with ×.

Tip

To find your page’s address, open your church’s page on that network in a browser. Copy the address from the address bar. On a phone app, look for Share, then Copy link.

Clicking the icons in the footer of the builder does not change them. A message says they fill in from your settings. Click Open Church info.

If it does not work

• “That is not a web address we can use. Start it with https://.”: Paste the whole address, starting with https://.
• Publish says “The social links in Church info still point at … instead of your church’s own pages.”: A link still goes to a network’s home page, like https://facebook.com. Paste your church’s own page, or remove the row with ×.
• You have no page on one of the networks: Remove that row. Do not leave a row with an empty box.
