Manage your account

Your account is you, not your church’s site. Your name and photo help the people you edit with know who is who. Passkeys let you sign in with your face, fingerprint or PIN.

To open it, click the round button with your first letter at the top right. Then click Account.

The top of the window says which email address you are signed in with, and whether you are the Owner, an Admin or an Editor of the site.

  1. Under Your profile, type your name in Your name. It saves when you click outside the box.
  2. Click Add a photo and choose a photo. On a computer, you can also drop a photo on the circle.
  3. In Your photo, drag the photo until your face is in the circle. You can also use the arrow buttons, the Zoom slider and Rotate. On a phone, pinch with two fingers to zoom.
  4. Click Use this photo.

Your photo can be up to 20 MB, and at least 200 pixels wide and tall. JPG, PNG, WebP and GIF all work. An iPhone photo works from the iPhone, or in Safari on a Mac.

Only the people you edit with see your name and photo. They never show on your church’s website.

To change your photo, click Change photo. To take it off, click Remove photo, then Remove photo again.

A passkey lets you sign in with what unlocks your computer or phone. There is no code to type.

  1. Under Passkeys, click Create a passkey.
  2. Your computer or phone asks for your face, fingerprint or PIN. Give it.

The passkey now shows in the list. We email you each time a passkey is added. If you did not add it, reply to that email.

If you do not see Passkeys, your browser does not support them. Sign in with an email code or Google instead.

Delete a passkey when you lose a phone or computer, or when you made one on a shared computer by mistake.

  1. Under Passkeys, find the passkey. Each one shows when it was created and last used.
  2. Click Delete beside it.
  3. Click Delete again.

You can still sign in with a code from your email.

Sign out when you finish on a shared computer.

  1. Click Sign out at the bottom of the Account window. You can also click the round button, then Sign out.

If a change has not reached our servers yet, the builder asks first. Click Stay signed in and wait until the top bar says Saved. Then sign out.

Otherwise you stay signed in on that computer for 30 days.

Use this if you help more than one church’s site, or if you were invited to another one.

  1. In Account, click Open a different site.
  2. Type your email address. We email you a 6-digit code.
  3. Type the code.
  4. Under Choose your church’s site, click the site you want.
  • “That photo is over 20 MB. Choose a smaller one.”: Pick a smaller photo, or take a screenshot of it and use that.
  • “That photo is too small. Choose one at least 200 pixels wide and tall.”: Pick a bigger photo.
  • “This browser cannot open HEIC photos from an iPhone.”: Add the photo from your iPhone, or use Safari on a Mac. You can also save it as a JPG first.
  • “That is not a photo we can use. Choose a JPEG, PNG, WebP or GIF photo.”: Pick a photo of one of those types.
  • “You have as many passkeys as we keep. Delete one you no longer use in Account, then try again.”: Delete an old passkey, then create the new one.
  • The site you want is not in the list: That email address cannot edit it. Ask its Owner or an Admin to invite you. See Invite someone to help.
