Add a section

A section is one band of a page, like a photo with words beside it or a row of cards. Your template has 27 sections, and each one matches your colors.

  1. Open the page in the builder.
  2. Click + Add section where you want the new section. These buttons sit at the top of the page and between sections. Point to the line between two sections to see one.
  3. The Add a section window opens. Each section shows a preview in your colors.
  4. Click Add this section on the one you want.

The section lands on the page, and the builder says “Section added. Click into it to make it yours.” Click its words and photos to put in your own. See Change the words on a page and Change a photo.

The window lists them in this order.

You cannot copy a section. To get a second one like it, add the same section again from this window.

The section buttons always show on a phone. The Add a section window says laying out a page is easier on a computer, but everything works on your phone.

  • You do not see + Add section: Point to the line between two sections. On a tablet or phone, the buttons always show.
  • “Your site is being published. Wait for it to finish before changing anything.”: Wait a minute, then try again.
  • Publish says a section “still has the library’s placeholder words in it”: Click those words and type your own, or delete the section. See Hide or delete a section.
