Show or hide a page
Hiding a page takes it off your live site and out of your menus. The page stays in the builder with everything on it. Showing it again puts it back.
- In the panel on the left, under Pages, point to the page. A gear appears beside it.
- Click the gear. Page settings opens.
- Switch Page published on to show the page, or off to hide it.
- Click Save.
- Click Publish. See Publish your site.
A hidden page shows DRAFT beside its name in the panel.
Turning a page on does not add it to a menu
Section titled “Turning a page on does not add it to a menu”A page you switch on goes live at its own address, but no menu links to it yet. If no menu has it, Save says “It goes live when you publish. To put it in your menu, open Menus.” See Change your menus.
Turning a page off
Section titled “Turning a page off”If the page was on your live site, its address forwards to your homepage after you publish. A visitor with an old link lands on your homepage, not on a “Page not found” page.
Your homepage is always published, so its switch is grayed out. To hide it, first make a different page your homepage. See Help a page show up on Google.
To hide one part of a page, use the eye button at the top right of that section. See Hide or delete a section.
On a phone
Section titled “On a phone”Tap » to open the pages panel. The gear shows beside every page without pointing.
If it does not work
Section titled “If it does not work”- Publish says pages you turned off are still linked: A button or link on your site still points to the hidden page. Change that link, or switch the page back on. See Change a button or link.
- Publish says your Privacy Policy is not live: Every page of your site needs it. Open the Privacy Policy page’s settings and switch Page published back on.
- The page is live but nobody can find it: Add it to a menu. See Change your menus.
Still stuck?
