Take over editing from someone else
Only one person edits the site at a time, so nobody’s work is lost. Taking over lets you edit when someone else is working.
- Open your site. If someone else is editing, a window says who: “… is editing the site now”.
- Choose one of three buttons:
- Take over lets you edit.
- Preview shows the site as it was last saved, without changing anything.
- Go back leaves everything as it is.
- Click Take over.
Their builder saves what they have first. Then it stops editing, and they see who took over. If it cannot save in time, what it had is kept as a copy. Find it under Site history, in Kept copies.
Only the person editing can publish. If someone else is editing, take over first, then publish.
If someone takes over from you, your builder says who took over. You can keep looking, or click Take back.
If it does not work
