Change a group

Do this when a group gets a new name, or when people join or leave the group.

Who can do this: You need Edit access to Member Groups.

1. Open Member Groups. On a computer, click Church Membership in the menu, then Member Groups. On a phone, tap More, then Church Membership, then Member Groups.
2. On the right of the group’s row, click the pencil icon.
3. Make your changes:
   • To rename the group, change the text in Group name:.
   • To change the color of the group’s tag, choose a color in Badge Color.
   • To add a member, check the box next to their name.
   • To take a member out, clear the box next to their name, or click the X next to their name in the Selected Members box.
4. Click Submit.

Good to know

• The current members are at the top of the list.
• To find a member, type their name in Search member name….
• When you take a member out of the group, they also stop being a leader of the group.

If it does not work

• “Name is required”: Type a group name.
