Delete a message

Do this to remove a message you no longer need from the Message Manager list, or to stop a scheduled message.

Who can do this: Your role needs Edit access to Message Manager. You can delete only messages you wrote.

1. Open Message Manager. On a computer, click Message Center in the menu, then Message Manager. On a phone, tap More, then Message Center, then Message Manager.
2. Find the message.
3. In the row of the message, click the trash icon.
4. In the Delete Message window, click Yes, delete.

You see “Message successfully deleted.” The message is gone from the list.

Good to know

• You cannot undo a delete.
• A scheduled message that you delete is not sent.
• Deleting a sent message does not take it back from the people who got it.
• If the trash icon is gray, someone else wrote the message. You cannot delete it.
